- Friday 18th May. Scottish-Danish Ceilidh at Aberdeen Boat Club 8 pm to midnight. Tickets £8 (£6 concession) on sale online or from SC&T office or on class nights
- Saturday 19th May. Dance workshop 1:30 - 4:30 at Queens Cross Church Hall. Tickets £5 (£3 concession) on sale online or from SC&T office or on class nights. See also the leaflet.
- Sunday 20th May. Scottish-Danish session at the Blue Lamp from 8 pm. Free.
- Saturday 9th June. Celebrate Aberdeen parade. http://www.celebrateaberdeen.org/
- Sundays 3rd June to end August at Gadie's Restaurant, Oyne. Enjoy a Sunday lunch with performances from SC&T musicians and singers. Part of the TMSA/Fèis Rois Trad Trails 2012.
We do hope you will join us - our aim is to promote awareness and growth of Scottish traditional culture, and to do so in a way which brings enjoyment, encouragement, enthusiasm and a sense of community.
Scottish Culture & Traditions were delighted to be nominated for the 'Community Project of the Year' category at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. The aim of these awards is to highlight Scotland's wonderful traditional music in all its forms and to create a high profile opportunity which will bring the music and music industry into the spotlight of media & public attention.
The voting closed on Friday 18th November and the winners were anounced at the award ceremony in Perth on Saturday 3rd December. Our congratualtions go to Blazin in Beauly for winning in our categroy. The full results can be found, here, and the event was televised on Mon 5th December so look out for repeats on BBC Alba.
