Our Patrons

SC&T has two Patrons, Phil Cunningham and Alasdair Fraser.

Phil Cunningham, is one of Scotland’s most innovative musicians and long-standing champion of traditional music, and has been our patron since 2007.

Alasdair FraserAlasdair Fraser is a Scottish fiddle player, teacher, composer and ambassador for Scottish music, known and respected around the world. The Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame describes him as “one of the greatest carriers of the Scottish fiddle music tradition, a fiddler whose warmly expressive playing, mastery of his instrument and deep understanding of his native music is an inspiration to generations of musicians on both sides of the Atlantic.”




Class Updates

Week of 22nd Sept

Autumn term evening classes start this week at our new venue at The University of Aberdeen, MacRobert Building. Classes can be booked on-line, via Paypal, or on the first class night (cash or cheque).

Note that the Bodhran 0 class will start next week.
