Impromptu End of Term Concert replaces Highland Games

01 Jul 2016

All was not lost with the cancellation of this year’s Aberdeen Highland Games on 19th June due to wet weather.  SC&T, with the help of a few Sandy Tweddle phone calls, decided to hold an impromptu end of term concert at The Blue Lamp.

Various SC&T classes had all been busy rehearsing for the Highland Games, and it was great to put on an alternative event to ensure all that hard work was not wasted.  Sandy Brown was extremely kind to open the ‘Lampie’ on his day off and a great time was had by all.  Around 15 class groups took to the stage, with our own SC&T tutors also performing to a great crowd.  The highlight of the afternoon was most certainly the great Stramash at the end.
