Exciting News - Online Classes Start August 31st
Over the past few weeks, the board and our tutors have been getting their heads together to see what we can provide by way of classes in our autumn term. We can’t have access to the MacRobert Building and the current social distancing measures wouldn’t allow normal classes anyway. We have therefore planned a virtual term to match, as closely as possible, what we would otherwise have run.
Many of our tutors have been running online classes over the past few months, so we have decided to take advantage of the work they have done by encouraging other tutors to do the same. We therefore have put together a programme details of which you will find below. The difference is that you will sign up to the class direct with the tutor and pay him/her. The length of each class and cost will vary from tutor to tutor, so you will have to contact them to get this information. There is a link below to each tutor and look out for further updates on here and Facebook as we plan to have a online tutor showcase on Saturday 29th August.
SC&T will have no financial involvement but will promote the programme through the usual channels. However, as we do have some ongoing costs, no income to cover them, and minimal reserves, any donations, however small, will be much appreciated. Look out for the Donate button appearing soon on the home page of this website.
Our thanks go to Lynne Gowans (now on the board), Claire Hawes, Laura Harrington, Kirsty Campbell and our tutors for making this happen. Please give us your feedback later and we look forward to seeing you all in person as soon as circumstances allow. Meantime, keep safe and happy music-making!
See the Classes tab for further details.
