MacRobert Building, Aberdeen University
With Live Online Option
SC&T Adult Autumn Term 2022
This is for whistle players who already have some competence on the instrument and want to improve, learning new tunes, harmonies and techniques. We will play a variety of marches, jigs, reels, strathspeys, slow airs etc. working on expression, phrasing and ornamentation. A whistle in D is required (low and high whistles are welcome). We learn tunes by ear but also supply the written music for practice.
This class is a face to face class with the additional option of joining online live using Zoom.
The online participant will be able to see the tutor live during the lesson and have an opportunity to interact with the tutor and class during the evening. This class will also be recorded and uploaded to Thinkific at the end of each lesson so can be watched back at a later date.
SC&T are using Zoom and an online platform called Thinkific to host the online classes this term. Thinkific is an online platform where participants can find all supporting lesson material, lesson recordings and music in one place and sign up for the weekly classes. You will find the Zoom link in the course material for your class.
Price for the term is: £100 - this can be paid in one lump sum when you sign up, or in 3 monthly instalments of £33.33 - you can choose your preference when you sign up.
