Craig's Online Mandolin & Tenor Banjo Class - Thursday
In this online mandolin & tenor banjo class a new tune will be taught each week, jigs, reels, polkas, strathspeys, waltzes, marches, etc.
The class will run for 2 hours over a 10 week term on a Thursday evening from 7pm till 9pm.
The first half of the class will be focused on the new tune of that week, the second half will focus on going over the previously taught tunes of the term.
There will be several tea breaks throughout the class for a catch-up with other class members and general music and instrument chat.
The level of the class will be mixed and is unfortunately not suitable for people that have never played their instrument before (due to the nature of teaching online and having to mute participants while teaching).
The class will be taught at a reasonably slow pace, learning by ear is encouraged but tabs and music notation will be provided before every class.
Suitable for any melody instrument, but will be mandolin and tenor banjo focused.
The class will be taught over zoom, with participants muted while teaching (due to the time lag) - a single link will be sent at the start of the term that is used for each week.
The music for each class (notation and TAB) is uploaded to dropbox before each class - a single link will be sent at the start of the term that is used for each week.
A practice video of the tune for that week being played at several speeds is uploaded after every class to an unlisted YouTube playlist - a single link will be sent at the start of the term that is used for each week.
A private Facebook group has been set up for the class and will contain all the updates, links and when there can be some interaction between the class.
