A beginners course for those who have always wanted to play traditional Scots fiddle tunes.  You can be a complete novice or someone who used to play classical violin years ago - it makes no difference as the emphasis is on playing by ear.  Written music will be provided after the tune has been learned. Term one - you will learn to manage your instrument and bow, how to practice and acquire a few tunes. Term two you will learn more tunes, basic musical concepts and recognise different types of Scottish tunes. Term three you will learn more tunes and develop bowing techniques.
