Join the fantastic Adam Doran for this beginner guitar class. Suitable for complete beginners and those who have been playing for a just little while.

Adam is a lifelong guitarist with extensive experience playing live in London and Scotland. He has been tutoring guitar to a diverse range of students for over fifteen years, and enjoys recording and producing music in his home studio. Adam is also a qualified and experienced school teacher.  That means every session  will be designed with an educator’s eye for clear structure, gentle pacing and personalised learning styles.

Join us for a relaxed and welcoming adult group guitar class where we’ll explore the rich sounds of traditional Scottish music. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone returning to the guitar after a break, this class is the perfect way to learn and play together. We’ll focus on well-known Scottish jigs, reels and airs, building skills step by step while having fun as a group. Expect lots of encouragement, shared learning, and the chance to experience the joy of making music in a supportive community. No need to read music – just bring your guitar and enthusiasm! *

 

Levels Explained

What does level 1 2 3 mean?

These relate to the ability and level the class is aimed at:

0 = Complete beginner – no experience of your instrument.

1 = Beginner – Have only been playing for a short time.  

2 = Intermediate – Have been playing for a while and can play some tunes

3 = Advanced – Can play and learn tunes competently 

0/1, 1/2, 2/3 etc = Both levels are accommodated

No level indicated = This course is open to all levels but some experience is recommended.
