Concession Pricing

Concession pricing

We try to keep our prices as low as possible for every activity that we run. We are a charity and not a profit making organisation. Any surplus that we make is ploughed straight back in to supporting and developing our classes and workshops.

One example of this policy in action is demonstrated by the fact that we frequently run classes that may not be financially viable on their own due to low numbers. We try very hard to provide a broad range of instrument classes at  four increasing ability levels and we will utilise any surpluses to ensure that as many classes as possible are available. In particular, we are committed to ensuring that there are beginner classes available in all subjects.

However, we also understand that not everyone can afford to pay the full fees for our services.  If you would like to participate in a class but are not in a position to afford the full fees please get in touch with us at classes@scottishculture.org and ask us about concession pricing. Your message will be treated confidentially and we will discuss with you the best option for your individual circumstances.

We also offer the option to pay for our classes by instalments. This option is available to everyone, at signup, on our Thinkific Website.

Note that we do not have a standard concession pricing scheme. We will tailor any offer of price reduction to each individual case. Any application made will be dealt with in as non-intrusive a way as possible.

Free Student Bursary Places.

Each term, as part of our contract with Aberdeen University, we offer a number of free places to registered Aberdeen University students. In order to apply for a free place please get in touch with us at classes@scottishculture.org . If you are eligible we will provide a discount code for use at the checkout.

50% Student Discount

What does level 1 2 3 mean?

These relate to the ability and level the class is aimed at:

1 = Beginner – Have only been playing for a short time.

2 = Intermediate – Have been playing for a while and can play some tunes

3 = Advanced – Can play and learn tunes competently

0/1, 1/2, 2/3 etc = Both levels are accommodated

No level indicated = This course is open to all levels but some experience is recommended.
