Donald played mandolin with Aberdeen-based Cannach in the 1990/2000s, performing sets of traditional and original music in venues throughout Scotland and beyond in various festivals and in studio sessions for radio and TV. They released ‘The Moons of Glenloy’ (KRL Lochshore) in 1997. Donald has since continued to compose (examples on Time to Dance - Dance to Time | Donald Macphee (bandcamp.com)) and perform occasionally with other musicians, e.g. ‘Nelson’s Mandola’.
